Great black and white photos, part 2


Edward Steichen
Edward Steichen was an famous photographer and he liked to take pretty basic photos. He was born on march 27, 1879 in Bivange, Luxembourg and died on march 25, 1973 in Redding, Ct. He was educated in Academie Julian and he was trained in photography and was an aspiring painter. His photography was mostly in black and white and was soft focus. Some of his books included, Steichens Legacy,  Edward Steichen, and a life in photography. Some of his jobs included serving as a director of photography at New Yorks museum of modern art and serving as a director of the as the director of the  
Naval Aviation Photographic Unit. He is also well known for his fashion pictures which changed fashion photography today.
