The camera- history and information

The Camera:
1. The camera obscure effect, which is latin for "dark room", was the first camera. The hole acted as the lens, focusing and projecting light onto the wall of the dark chamber.
2. Lens and optics
3. A glass lens, a dark box, and film
4. Light passes through the lens, into the camera, and exposes the film.

Camera Modes:
6. Auto- camera will completely control flash and exposure. Program- automatic assist, you can control the flash and other settings versus auto.
7. Portrait is used for people's portraits. It works by trying to blur out the background , the camera will try to use the fastest available lens setting.
8. It is used for action shots, it freezes motion, camera uses highest shutter speed possible

The half press:
9. A half press will tell the camera that you're almost ready to take a shot and be prepared, it will help focus your photo for you and help make your picture even better.

Controlling flash:
10. Disabled flash,  when you want the photo to be more dramatic when the natural light is used.
11. Auto-flash, if the camera thinks it needs more light

Introduction to exposure:
12. Too much light in a picture, and the picture will become washed out.
13. Not enough light in the picture, and the picture will be too dark.

The universal stop:
14. A stop is used in every aspect of photography to represent a relative change in the brightness of light.
15. 1stops brighter
16.2 stops brighter

Shutter and Aperture:
17. Longer shutter speeds results in more light
18. Shorter shutter speed results in less light
19. You can control the aperture by setting the "aperture opening" or F-stop
20. To increase the amount of light, you can create a larger opening.
