portfolio analysis

Alyssa Schukar
-depression
-The judges have seen better, the pictures were not close enough  and they were to much at a distance, can't  feel the love or pain in any of the pictures
-they like the scenery of the man sweeping and the picture of Haiti
-I did not like the pictures very much they did not impress me and I did not feel any of the emotion in the pictures.

Sam Adams
- hobbies/more sports 
- The duck picture doesn't do anything , confused as to what is going on in the pictures , excess objects in the picture
- they like the action is some pictures and the way the colors stand out 
- I really liked the pictures. They all portrayed something and were good pictures in general.

Melissa Golden
- portraits
- the main subject was not in focus , the pictures did not portray anything, the subjects were not interesting.
- they liked the portrait of the elderly man , and thought doe of the pictures were funny.
- I liked the pictures. I liked that they were all portraits and the picture stories. 

Dustin Snipes
-the colors and composition
-the main subject was always in focus. one weakness that I saw was that Dustin photoshopped the pictures a little bit to much.
-they went through an overview of the portfolios and picked the ones they liked. They explained why they did or did not like the portfolios and went more in depth when it came to Dustin Snipe's portfolio.

part 2:
1. I agree with the judges on the photo that won best picture of the year and that photo was the one with the sumo wrestler and the women on a escalator and the women is just staring at the man. The photo is in black and white which i do like and apparently the judges liked that too. The photo is interesting and funny and it obviously is showing the proper characteristics of a perfect photo. The other photo that was going up against it was the one of the girl and the goose and although that was funny and very good photography, it wasn't as interesting as the escalator one.

2. The one photo that i did not agree on was the one photo that won the action round. They chose the top three and i remember there being a photo of a guy in a boxing match and that photo is the photo i think should have won because it was so interesting and you could see the sweat fly off of the guys head and the photographer did a good job taking this photo.  The photo that did win was of soccer players , i believe,  and one guy had another guys finger in his eye. It was interesting but i don't think it should have won.
